CSIP - Care Service Improvement Partnership

CSIP’s two key aims are to:

To achieve these aims, CSIP contributes across a wide spectrum of issues, such as the delivery of statutory care services; housing; employment; leisure; challenging stigma; and general social inclusion. It sees ‘social care’ as going beyond traditional boundaries of social services, and relating to the wider social context of peoples lives; their independence and well-being, and their health.

CSIP in the South West

The CSIP South West Development Centre was established in April 2005.

We work with people and agencies in the statutory, community and voluntary sector, and with people who use health and social care services. Our aim is to improve the quality of life for all people who experience health problems.

We serve the South West region, with a population of 9.9 million people living within rural and urban communities, different cultural communities, and some areas of economic deprivation.

Our team - The CSIP SW team is drawn from across the South West region. Our staff include development consultants, programme leads, and associates, and we are supported by a central administrative team.

Our programmes focus on service improvements for:
• People with mental health problems
• People with learning disabilities
• Older people with health and social care needs
• Children and families with health and social care needs, and
• People with health and social care needs in the criminal justice system
• Social Care
• System Change
