    Why Do This?     To provide information to ensure patients, carers, the public and staff of the South Hams and West Devon area (see maps at the back of this directory) are aware of services and help that is available locally and nationally. There are many different databases, booklets, newsletters that contain this vital information but unfortunately they are all in different places and only contain the bit that is relevant to the organisation providing it. If you are struggling and need information quickly, the last thing you need is to be passed around in an effort to find the different things you need. Often in times of crisis or stress, this can add to the burden.
